Burst Labs is full of the latest audio experiments from the stock music makers, The Burst Collective. I worked closely with designer JD Hooge (Gridplane) to create this handcrafted music search tool.

We began by turning the client's FileMaker Pro data into a scalable MySQL database. Then, we added a robust web-based content management tool, a search engine, and custom web services that could be used to feed the data to Flash.

The front-end was built with ActionScript 2 and Flash 8 to faciltate a fluid and functional design. The site includes very finely grained state tracking to support deep-linking and the browser's back-button.
